A few points of reference: 1) In Texas, school soccer is not as competitive as "Club Soccer"; 2) School athletics do not begin in public schools until 7th grade; 3) They play a total of four games.
Jess' middle school had their first soccer game today. Jess played her normal position (center-forward) and scored the first goal of the game. Her school went on to win 5-1 (or was it 6-1?).
